MDF Moisture Detection System with Microwave Sensor

The system allows the control of the moisture retained by powder or granular products in industrial processes (e.g. ceramic spray-dried powder). The technology used is based on a physical principle of response of the material to irradiation with microwaves that allows swift, accurate and repeatable measurements.

Thanks to the adoption of this method, the system is specially designed to measure the moisture retained by moving materials even at high speed, allowing high reliability, repeatability and precision.

  • It allows  simple and quick installation on the existing line (the system is equipped with stainless steel support adaptable to the conveyor belt frame)
  • Possibility of setting the temperature of the sensor by increasing it, if necessary, by means of an infrared lamp
  • System equipped with sensor cleaning device with pneumatic motorised brush
  • System unaffected by saline or alkaline pollutants present in the aggregates
  • Measurement range between 0 and the saturation point of the material
