A Continuous Trunnion Feeder allows the introduction of raw materials and water into the mill.

It consists of:

• Loading hopper in carbon sheet steel coated with rubber, polyurethane or alumina
• Removable feeding propeller in anti-wear HARDOX 400 steel, with tungsten carbon and chromium carbon filler
• Cantilevered support unit with hollow screw-shaft
• Water inlet to the mill at the head of the screw-shaft by means of rotating hydraulic joint and irrigation joint
• Propeller support pipe for mill input in anti-wear HARDOX 400 steel
• Support unit protection with packing seal and gland
• Drive unit using gearmotor and chain drive
• Installed power: 4 kW or 7.5 kW – 4 poles.

Continuous Trunnion Feeder Operation:

• Rotation in the direction of material feeding
• Rotation sensor
• The trunnion stops when the power exceeds the set threshold AP74
• To unblock the trunnion, the reverse rotation command is given for a time that can be set by the PLC
• The feeding zone unlocks and it is necessary to remove the cause of the block
• We recommend a monthly propeller wear check
